Table top Casey came to Centenary park for round 6 expecting to give the Strikers a hammering but were given a real fight. Our ladies proving to themselves that they can compete really gave their all and had “lady luck” been on their side they may have even got something out of this game. As coach I could not ask any more than what the ladies gave, everything! Unlike previous weeks, we started really hard and fast and were unlucky to go in at half time one nil down. It was noted at the break that Casey’s “body language” didn’t look good, indeed, one of the Casey team said “this was their hardest game of the season”. Strikers carried on in the same vein in the 2nd half and were cheated on casey’s 2nd goal, which was clearly offside. Caseys 3rd was a bullet shot that no one would have stopped. There were super performances all round and the whole squad did their bit. If we can produce this type of effort every week we are going to have
a very enjoyable season, well done ladies. |
